What is the difference between Skills, Agents and a Workforce?
A skill is a pre-packaged, reusable capability, like reading a document or validating a field. An agent is the worker applying skills to run a process step and make or propose decisions. A Hypatos Workforce is the operating layer above them: which agents run, what skills they have, and with which controls and authority.
Do I choose the Skills that go into a Workforce?
You don’t need to. Hypatos has standard, pre-packaged Workforce bundles that already include all the necessary Skills for a process to run end to end. You can opt out of certain Skills if your process does not require them. E.g.: you already have an e-invoicing solution in place so you can go live with an Invoice Processing Workforce without an e-Invoicing skill in it.
Can we start with a single process?
Yes. A single Workforce, such as for invoice processing, proves the model on real volume. Expanding to order confirmations or delivery notes afterwards reuses some of the same skills, connectors and controls, so you do not start from scratch when you grow.
What does Build Your Own Workforce mean?
Build Your Own is the offer for documents outside the available named solutions. You get build access to the Hypatos platform and create your own workforce for entirely new document types, with the same controls and integrations available across the standard offering.
How does the workforce keep humans in control?
Every exception is logged with a specific reason and routed to a named owner. Approvals follow your authority rules, and each decision leaves a trail: what the agent read, what it decided, and what the system of record did. Reviewers work in AI Agent Studio, the Human-in-the-Loop interface where people see each case, decide, and have their revision recorded.
